EXIF Remover – Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use EXIF Remover.
Information We Collect
EXIF Remover is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary for the app to function:
- Daily usage statistics (number of images processed) — stored locally on your device
- Premium subscription status — managed through RevenueCat and Apple’s In-App Purchase system
- No personal information, images, or metadata are collected or transmitted
Important:
All image processing happens entirely on your device. Images are never
uploaded to any server, and we have no access to your photos or their metadata.
How We Use Your Information
The limited information we collect is used solely to:
- Track daily usage limits for free users
- Manage premium subscription status
- Improve app functionality
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device. This includes:
- Daily usage count
- Last usage date
This data never leaves your device and is automatically reset daily. If you delete the app, all stored data is permanently removed.
Note:
We do not use cloud storage, analytics services, or any external data collection tools.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service to provide premium subscription functionality:
RevenueCat
RevenueCat manages in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple’s secure payment system.

Photo Library Access
EXIF Remover requires access to your photo library to:
- Read images you select for processing or inspection
- Save processed images to a dedicated album
Access is granted only with your explicit permission via iOS system prompts. We never access your photos without consent, and all processing happens locally on your device.
Inspect Feature
The Inspect feature allows you to view metadata embedded in your photos, including:
- GPS location data (displayed on an interactive map)
- Camera and lens information
- Date and time the photo was taken
- Other EXIF, TIFF, and IPTC metadata
Important:
When viewing GPS data on the map, no location information is transmitted to external servers.
The map displays location data already embedded in your photo using Apple's MapKit framework.
All metadata inspection happens entirely on your device.

- Deletion: Reset usage statistics in Settings or delete the app
